FAQ
Given the investment the program requires, it's understandable why this is one of the most important questions we often receive. Within the common swim school, for the average child with absolutely no aquatic skills, it takes an estimated 1 Year (52 lessons) to learn proper freestyle. For adults with absolutely no aquatic skills, it may take an average of 6 months (24 lessons). However, at Lavish Swim we pride ourselves on being able to train children in an average of 8.5 months (34 Lessons). Adults in our program can learn freestyle in as little as 3 months (12 lessons). Adults who join our Swim Bootcamp Series (SBCS) tend to learn freestyle in 4 hours.
It's important to understand that this is the average on a spectrum. There are many factors that can affect the length of time it takes for a student to learn to swim, and there is no such thing as "drown proof". No matter well a student learns to swim, swimming skills alone is not to be relied on. Even the olympic swimmers have lifeguards on standby. There is no substitution for swimming with supervision.
Our lessons can be taught to children as early as 3 years old. Infants can also be introduced to the water as well, however we can't shorten the time it'll take for an infant to learn survival skills, and we charge a premium for the value the swimmer receives, so payin our premium for infants is not recommended.
If you you still want to start the swimmer at a younger age. we can begin lessons as young as 12 months. For these special request, please contact us.
